Maura Miglioretti

EDUCATION

Maura received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Westminster College, and her Master’s degree in child psychology from Duquesne University. Maura is a current School Psychology PhD student at Duquesne, and is in her final year of coursework. In addition, Maura spent a year of her graduate experience studying forensic psychology at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia before deciding to pursue her PhD.

CREDENTIALS/PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Maura has experience working with school age children and young adults. She has completed practicum experiences in various local school districts, in community mental health, and is completing her Advanced Doctoral Practicum at The Children’s Institute. Her professional interests are in child neuropsychology. Maura is in the process of completing her dissertation on Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and the provision of school based services.

Maura is primarily AMHA’s intake coordinator, but also completes neuropsychological assessments under the supervision of Dr. Chris Coburn.

SPECIAL INTERESTS

Special interests include neuropsychiatric disorders, OC spectrum disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and juvenile delinquency.

Playing soccer, mountain biking, enjoying local food and drinks, or playing at the dog park!
